In early 2009, the Asian Liver Center began its partnership with East Villagers, a social networking site dedicated to promoting service and volunteerism. East Villagers is the only online community dedicated to non-profit organizations, their projects, and volunteers' life-changing stories. Many ALC staff regularly utilize EV to publicize events, volunteer opportunities and blog about their experiences. Recommended blogs: Amy Yu and Alena Groopman. |

Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service utilizing instant messaging, SMS or a web interface. ALC Staff use Twitter as an interface for sharing their personal and professional experiences working on hepatitis B and liver cancer outreach, education, research and advocacy (but their thoughts and ideas are their own). |
