Asian Liver Center

Social Media Platforms at the Asian Liver Center

Social media media designed to be disseminated through social interaction, created using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques.

The Asian Liver Center and the Jade Ribbon Campaign employ many social media strategies to spread awareness about hepatitis B and liver cancer.

East Villagers

In early 2009, the Asian Liver Center began its partnership with East Villagers, a social networking site dedicated to promoting service and volunteerism. East Villagers is the only online community dedicated to non-profit organizations, their projects, and volunteers' life-changing stories. Many ALC staff regularly utilize EV to publicize events, volunteer opportunities and blog about their experiences. Recommended blogs: Amy Yu and Alena Groopman.

Twitter

Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service utilizing instant messaging, SMS or a web interface. ALC Staff use Twitter as an interface for sharing their personal and professional experiences working on hepatitis B and liver cancer outreach, education, research and advocacy (but their thoughts and ideas are their own).

Please follow Amy Yu (@missamyyu), Alena Groopman (@alenagroopman), the Asian Liver Center (@AsianLiverCtr), the Jade Ribbon Campaign (@JadeRibbon), and Team HBV (@TeamHBV) on Twitter.
