8th Annual Youth Leadership Conference on Asian and Pacific Islander Health 2010
The 8th Annual Youth Leadership Conference on Asian and Pacific Islander Health was held August 11-14, 2010.
Youth Leadership Conference attendees attended a variety of workshops and gained leadership skills through keynotes delivered by corporate executives Michael Chen of GE Capital, Bill Imada of IW Group, and Glenn Osaka of Juniper Networks. They also learned first hand about the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders from Advisor Kate Moraras.
As a culminating experience, all Youth Leadership Conference attendees submitted formal business plans and proposed ideas to unite youth from all over the nation to take action against hepatitis B and liver cancer.
