Asian Liver Center

Supported Programs

  • Outreach, Education and Training. Your donation would help support Asian Liver Center outreach efforts in various at-risk Asian and Pacific Islander communities. This includes educational efforts that increase awareness about hepatitis B and liver cancer.
  • Research. Core to the driving philosophy of the Asian Liver Center is our belief in novel and cutting-edge research. Currently the Asian Liver Center is involved in research projects ranging from studying blood samples of liver cancer patients to understanding and predicting possible tumor recurrence. Only with your help can our research goals be effectively realized.
  • Adopt-an-Intern.Since its establishment in 2000, the Intern Program recruits up to 25 talented undergraduate and graduate students annually. Our interns contribute to all aspects of work at the center, including website development and management, the design and production of Asian Liver Center multimedia publicity material, and program development and implementation.
  • Asia and Pacific Alliance to Eliminate Viral Hepatitis (APAVH). The Asian Liver Center serves as the Executive Secretariat for APAVH and supports various APAVH projects in countries such as China, Laos, and the Philippines. These projects focus on education campaigns for both pregnant women and youth, anti-discrimination and hepatitis B awareness campaigns, and training for healthcare workers. We would like to thank all of the contributing partners who have already shown their support for this new global initaitive.
